Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on payroll and benefits administration experience.
- Demonstrated experience running payroll for a US workforce of 500+ employees.
- Strong proficiency with ADP Workforce Now.
- Direct experience managing multi-state payroll and tax compliance.
- Experience reconciling benefits invoices and managing self-insured benefits plans.
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and tax requirements.
- Highly proficient with Excel or Google Sheets for large datasets and reporting.
- Proven ability to manage audits and implement internal payroll controls.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to act as a point of contact for employee payroll questions.
Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end US payroll for 500+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Manage multi-state payroll and tax requirements, including New York's Convenience of the Employer rule.
- Reconcile benefits invoices and self-funded plan activity by validating employee eligibility and deductions.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for payroll and resolve employee, tax, and deduction inquiries.
- Collaborate with Finance and People Ops to manage payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, and bonuses.
- Support year-end processes, W-2 preparation, open enrollment, and audits.
- Maintain documentation and controls while implementing process automations to improve scalability.
