Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative support, sales support, or a related professional role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Solid analytical and research capabilities, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and document-quality skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • For employees working from home occasionally or permanently, a cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.
  • Sales team support experience or experience in the group insurance industry is preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another customer relationship management platform is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, office administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales representatives and Underwriting to prepare and submit accurate new-sale package and group benefit quotes.
  • Develop client-focused proposals and customized presentation materials for prospects.
  • Coordinate new-business implementation with internal and external partners, accurately capturing client requirements and intent.
  • Help Sales representatives respond to prospect and broker inquiries, resolve issues, and connect stakeholders with information and resources.
  • Prepare and distribute applications and supporting documents, then coordinate with operational teams through new-business installation.
  • Maintain new-business and existing-client growth information in Salesforce and produce standard and customized reports.
  • Use enterprise tools and sales best practices to conduct ad hoc analysis, identify insights, and support operational priorities.
  • Build cross-team relationships to gather information, resolve issues, and coordinate activities.
  • Contribute to market initiatives and process-improvement projects identified by Sales Administration leadership.
