Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a strong track record in developer tools, observability, infrastructure, data platforms, or another technically complex B2B product domain.
- Experience leading strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams or product areas without relying on direct organizational authority.
- Strong working knowledge of OpenTelemetry, including SDK instrumentation, OTLP, Collector pipelines, telemetry context, and semantic conventions.
- Experience using or building instrumentation systems, developer agents, telemetry collectors, configuration products, or related infrastructure.
- Understanding of the challenges involved in deploying and operating software across Kubernetes, virtual machines, and public cloud environments.
- Experience transforming complex onboarding, configuration, troubleshooting, or technical workflows into clear and approachable product experiences.
- Strong ability to use customer research and product data to make informed decisions, align stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in remote, globally distributed organizations.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to create alignment across product, engineering, design, marketing, and go-to-market teams.
- Comfort working with AI tools as part of product development and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, product strategy, and cross-product roadmap for the journey from an uninstrumented workload to healthy, actionable telemetry.
- Create clear and opinionated experiences that help users select and implement the right instrumentation approach across SDKs, automatic instrumentation, and Collector-based deployments.
- Partner with downstream observability product teams to create a seamless transition from telemetry ingestion to meaningful product activation and first value.
- Design experiences and workflows that allow coding agents to implement, configure, troubleshoot, and safely validate instrumentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Documentation, Developer Relations, Product Marketing, and go-to-market teams to deliver a differentiated developer experience.
