Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting, financial close, and general ledger.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
- Experience with high-volume transaction environments, particularly in e-commerce, wholesale, or retail.
- ERP experience (NetSuite strongly preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to investigate large data sets and reconcile data from e-commerce platforms and payment processors.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting and explaining accounting conclusions.
Responsibilities
- Own monthly revenue close activities for DTC, marketplace, wholesale and other applicable sales channels.
- Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, rollforward schedules and variance analysis.
- Reconcile gross sales, discounts, refunds, chargebacks, gift cards, shipping revenue, and payment processor settlements.
- Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
- Investigate and resolve variances between operational systems, e-commerce platforms, and the general ledger.
- Perform revenue cut-off procedures and analyze net sales, returns, and deferred revenue.
- Serve as key accounting resource for NetSuite revenue workflows and order-to-cash processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system implementations and data integration testing.
- Maintain internal controls documentation and prepare audit-ready schedules and technical memos.
