Requirements
- Experience as a software or automation engineer in PLC or other OT technologies.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (TIA19 is a plus).
- Experience in robot programming (KRL is a plus).
- Proficiency with OPC-UA; MQTT is a plus.
- Experience with Python, C++, or C# is a plus.
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting practices for production systems.
- Experience defining and working with SLAs and SLOs.
- Experience operating and supporting large-scale software or OT systems.
- Willingness to adopt modern software engineering practices such as code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
- Professional background in companies with strong operational cultures, ideally in logistics or manufacturing.
- Willingness to travel to Richen for manufacturing site visits and across Germany/Austria for team events.
Responsibilities
- Explain and document existing PLC/OT vendor code for the product team.
- Evolve current architectures into a Software Defined Manufacturing setup.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime, latency, and efficiency.
- Act as a bridge between digital product delivery and physical manufacturing/logistics systems.
- Define, monitor, and evolve SLAs, SLOs, and key performance indicators like OEE.
