Job Details

5+ years of experience in System Administration, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Operations in an enterprise environment.
Deep expertise in Linux administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, specifically ZFS storage and file system management.
Proven experience running, tuning, and debugging Java/Tomcat applications in production.
Strong working knowledge of MySQL 5.7, including query tuning, replication, and backup/restore strategies.
Proficiency in shell scripting and lightweight automation with Bash.
Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud SQL and BigQuery.
Production experience architecting and running containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
Familiarity with modern CI/CD deployment workflows.
Ability to remain calm under pressure during incident response.
Pragmatic approach to legacy system stability.

Own the incident management lifecycle for production including triaging alerts, troubleshooting OS-level bottlenecks, and debugging performance issues.
Monitor system performance and application logs using observability platforms like Observe by Snowflake.
Maintain, patch, and secure existing GCP virtual machines.
Monitor MySQL 5.7 instances, manage backups, and troubleshoot connection pool or locking issues.
Design, provision, and scale cloud infrastructure using cloud-native tools like Cloud SQL and BigQuery.
Replace manual operational tasks with automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code.
Ensure system security through OS hardening, access controls, and vulnerability patching.
