Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production AWS infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on Terraform experience, including module design and versioning.
- Experience with AWS Organizations or Control Tower in multi-account environments.
- Deep understanding of AWS IAM, policy design, federation, and least-privilege implementation.
- Production experience with containers (ECS or Kubernetes) and managed relational databases.
- Strong Python or Bash scripting skills for automation.
- Experience migrating or consolidating legacy infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to balance security, reliability, cost, and delivery speed.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude, Claude Code, and Cowork.
- Availability for evening overlap (5:30–7:30 PM U.S. PT) and occasional travel to Las Vegas.
Responsibilities
- Extend and maintain a versioned Terraform module library and foundational services.
- Design and maintain VPC architectures and cross-account networking in a multi-account environment.
- Design and implement cross-region disaster recovery, including database and storage replication.
- Strengthen cloud security through IAM policies, least-privilege access, and automated security controls.
- Improve operational reliability via monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
- Develop automation tools using Python or Bash to improve CI/CD workflows.
- Maintain AWS Control Tower, landing zones, and cost optimization initiatives.
