Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience building and shipping analyses or reporting against large, complex datasets.
- Proficiency in SQL (joins, window functions, and query performance).
- Proficiency in Python or PySpark.
- Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor).
- Working knowledge of Databricks or comparable platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Spark.
- Experience presenting work to stakeholders, ideally external customers.
- Experience with version control (GitHub) on a shared codebase.
- Track record of owning work end to end.
- Ability to conduct product discovery rather than just intake.
Responsibilities
- Own client-facing analyses and dashboards end to end, from initial conversation through delivery.
- Run discovery with customers to understand underlying needs and propose optimal technical approaches.
- Design standard reporting for broad reuse across multi-tenant customer datasets.
- Write SQL and Python or PySpark queries against large datasets in Databricks.
- Contribute dbt models and collaborate with data engineering on upstream transformations.
- Explain coverage, limitations, and methodology to customers.
- Ensure the accuracy of all delivered reporting.
- Turn recurring requests into standard product features in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- Handle protected health information in compliance with HIPAA.
