Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MD, or PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of business development experience in biotechnology or life sciences.
- Experience with technology licensing, research collaborations, and strategic transactions.
- Strong understanding of scientific, clinical, and regulatory factors influencing therapeutic development.
- Proven track record of negotiating and closing complex transactions.
- Expertise in financial modeling and valuation.
- Ability to synthesize large volumes of scientific and financial data into clear recommendations.
- Experience operating with executive-level visibility.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship management skills.
- Ability to travel periodically for team and company events.
Responsibilities
- Lead or play a central role in business development activities including licensing, research collaborations, and joint ventures.
- Coordinate cross-functional diligence involving R&D, clinical, regulatory, legal, IP, and commercial teams.
- Develop business cases, valuation models, competitive assessments, and financial frameworks.
- Structure, negotiate, and finalize term sheets and definitive transaction agreements.
- Prepare strategic presentations for senior management, executive committees, and the Board of Directors.
- Build and maintain relationships with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and academic partners.
- Support alliance transitions and post-signing governance.
