Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years medical sales (including 2+ years leadership) OR advanced degree with 5+ years medical sales (including 2+ years leadership).
- Demonstrated success in medical sales, preferably involving pacing or stent products.
- Experience managing sales teams including coaching, performance management, and recruitment.
- Strong strategic planning, business management, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively by car and plane throughout the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance.
- Ability to work independently in clinical environments like cardiac catheterization labs and operating rooms.
- Ability to comply with healthcare credentialing requirements.
- Ability to work outside standard business hours when required.
- Ability to meet physical requirements including wearing a lead apron and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in environments involving radiation exposure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies designed to achieve district revenue, market share, and broader business objectives.
- Conduct regular field visits, individual and group meetings, and customer interactions to support sales performance and team effectiveness.
- Train, develop, coach, and motivate sales employees across areas including sales skills, product knowledge, territory management, and career development.
- Manage district assets, including budgets, forecasts, inventory, and expenses.
- Negotiate and resolve pricing and contract issues in collaboration with sales representatives and internal stakeholders.
- Recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates to maintain a strong talent pipeline.
- Provide relevant market and customer intelligence to leadership to inform commercial strategies.
