Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in business development, market development, or strategic partnerships within utility, energy, or infrastructure.
- Experience owning and evolving market, customer segment, or channel strategies.
- Existing active network of electric cooperative executives, general managers, and board members.
- Demonstrated ability to represent an organization externally at the executive level.
- Working understanding of electric cooperative governance and member-owned structures.
- Ability to influence and coordinate work across teams without formal management authority.
- Ability to travel frequently (40% or more).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall strategy and engagement approach for electric cooperative markets.
- Build and leverage executive-level relationships with cooperative leadership, general managers, and board members.
- Represent the company externally at industry events, conferences, and with organizations like NRECA.
- Identify, prioritize, and scope high-value market opportunities to build a qualified pipeline.
- Drive cross-functional strategy across Growth, Programs, and technical teams to convert opportunities into programs.
- Provide market insights to executive leadership regarding trends, competitive dynamics, and resource allocation.
