Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in localization.
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing in-house linguists.
- Hands-on background as a translator, editor, or proofreader.
- Experience coordinating freelancers or external contributors across multiple markets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality scores, OKR trends, and delivery data.
- Business-oriented mindset with the ability to connect localization efforts to business outcomes.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with Marketing, Product, and Engineering stakeholders.
- Proficiency with core localization tooling including CAT tools and project management systems.
- Familiarity with AI platforms such as Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Localization Specialists through regular feedback and data-driven performance conversations.
- Manage and scale the external freelancer network, overseeing the full lifecycle from sourcing and onboarding to quality management.
- Translate business goals into actionable localization plans while acting as a bridge between Localization Specialists and Project Managers.
- Take ownership of complex challenges such as new market launches and AI-human review models without existing playbooks.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve recurring quality and delivery issues while implementing sustainable process improvements.
- Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI and localization technologies to enhance quality and efficiency across markets.
