Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading technical security teams, specifically in Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, or Incident Response.
- Demonstrated experience managing distributed or remote security teams.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to manage a region as a business unit including resource and priority management.
- Technical depth in Detection-as-Code principles and adversary tradecraft to guide senior-level engineering.
- Proven ability to advocate for team needs and communicate technical value to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to adjudicate complex technical disagreements and negotiate for necessary tooling and telemetry.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on talent strategy, capacity modeling, and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Execute the DE&TH mission for the North America region by translating global goals into regional roadmaps.
- Manage, scale, and mentor a team of technical practitioners, including Staff and Principal engineers.
- Strategize with Product, Engineering, and Security leaders to drive operational outcomes.
- Collaborate with regional managers in EMEA and APAC to ensure global standards and knowledge sharing.
- Serve as the senior incident command point of contact during North American business hours for high-impact security incidents.
- Track and report on regional KPIs and drive systemic improvements to detection efficacy.
