8+ years

Requirements

  • 8+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing.
  • Proven experience negotiating multi-year supply agreements.
  • Experience in food, CPG, or a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience standing up or significantly improving cost accounting or PPV processes.
  • Comfort working directly in an ERP system.
  • Experience managing suppliers through new product launches with regulatory-driven timelines.
  • People leadership experience with a balance of strategic and tactical oversight.
  • Experience with dairy or nutritional ingredient sourcing is preferred.
  • Background in infant formula or FDA-regulated food category is preferred.
  • Experience scaling a procurement function in a high-growth company is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own supplier strategy across dairy, nutritional ingredients, and packaging categories.
  • Lead negotiation of multi-year and master supply agreements.
  • Qualify and onboard new suppliers, weighing lead time, cost, and FDA/IFN regulatory risks.
  • Build a formal supplier qualification process and scorecard system.
  • Develop cost accounting and purchase price variance (PPV) reporting processes.
  • Oversee the use of ERP for planning, MRP, purchase orders, and item costing.
  • Manage and develop the purchasing team, shifting focus to proactive category strategy.
  • Partner with Quality, Regulatory, and Science on specifications, audits, and clearance timing.
