Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing.
- Experience negotiating multi-year supply agreements.
- Experience in food, CPG, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience standing up or improving cost accounting or PPV processes.
- Advanced proficiency working directly in ERP systems.
- Experience managing suppliers through new product launches and regulatory-driven timelines.
- Proven people leadership experience with ability to set strategy and manage tactical details.
- Experience with dairy or nutritional ingredient sourcing is preferred.
- Knowledge of infant formula, baby food, or FDA-regulated categories is preferred.
- Experience scaling a procurement function in a high-growth company is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own supplier strategy across dairy, nutritional ingredients, and packaging categories.
- Lead negotiations for multi-year and master supply agreements.
- Qualify and onboard new suppliers while managing FDA and IFN regulatory clearance timelines.
- Build a formal supplier qualification process and performance scorecards.
- Implement cost accounting and PPV reporting within the ERP system.
- Manage and mentor the purchasing team, shifting focus from tactical buying to category strategy.
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Finance, and Operations to support new product launches and manage inventory positioning.
