Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a healthcare or federal environment.
- Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with VHA systems and data repositories, including CDW and VistA.
Responsibilities
- Extrapolate data patterns using advanced algorithms to identify actionable insights.
- Develop graphs, charts, and visualizations to communicate complex mathematical findings.
- Present analytical outcomes to managers and stakeholders to guide business model adjustments and future planning.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of VHA systems and files, including CDW, VistA, VSSC, RAMP, PTF (MedSAS), MCA, PCMM, NPCD, and VETSNET.
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple VA sources.
- Translate raw data into meaningful reports that support healthcare transformation goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with program objectives.
- Support predictive modeling and trend analysis to improve veteran healthcare delivery.
