Requirements
- Direct experience in OSP engineering and pole attachment coordination.
- Strong understanding of utility coordination, including working with electric utilities and cable companies.
- Proficiency in preparing, submitting, and tracking pole attachment permits and applications.
- Ability to read and interpret work prints, engineering drawings, and design documents.
- Knowledge of power and telecommunications placement requirements on utility poles.
- Experience in identifying pole ownership and applicable approval jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with aerial fiber construction and OSP engineering workflows.
- Strong organizational skills for managing complex project timelines and multiple applications simultaneously.
- Ziply Fiber experience or experience with similar telecom providers is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of NESC standards and utility-specific pole attachment requirements is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full pole attachment process, including application preparation, submission, tracking, and securing final approvals.
- Coordinate directly with pole owners, electric utilities, and cable companies to facilitate attachment permissions.
- Review and interpret work prints, engineering drawings, and design documents for OSP projects.
- Identify pole ownership and determine jurisdiction-specific approval requirements.
- Communicate with utility stakeholders via email, phone, and online systems to resolve outstanding issues and avoid project delays.
- Monitor multiple applications and deadlines to ensure project timelines are met.
