Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, or cybersecurity.
- Deep knowledge of global privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, NIST Privacy Framework, and ISO 27701.
- Demonstrated experience building, leading, or scaling enterprise privacy programs.
- Strong understanding of data governance, information security, and privacy risk management.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries like financial services, healthcare, or technology.
- Strong ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts into actionable business guidance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong crisis management and incident response capabilities.
- J.D. from an accredited law school highly preferred.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute an enterprise-wide privacy strategy aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Lead compliance with global privacy frameworks including SEC Regulation S-P, GLBA, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and PIPEDA.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce privacy policies, standards, and data-handling procedures.
- Lead privacy risk assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and vendor privacy reviews.
- Develop AI-specific privacy policies and controls for data management and security.
- Oversee data protection operations such as data subject rights, consent management, and breach response.
- Partner with Compliance, Technology, and executive stakeholders to integrate privacy into business strategy.
