Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biological science, pharmacy, health-related discipline, or equivalent clinical qualification.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in clinical site budget development.
- Experience in clinical research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or managed-care environments.
- Hands-on experience with clinical study budget tools such as GrantPlan, Grant Manager, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience using industry benchmarking databases for fair-market-value assessments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex budget situations.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with a proactive approach to managing competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated client-focused approach with understanding of business implications.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and decision-making skills.
- Advanced ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to learn and use clinical research and eClinical systems.
- Solid understanding of clinical research standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive clinical study grant estimates for Phase I–IV studies using tools like GrantPlan.
- Support the development of budget concepts for pre-sales proposals in alignment with RFP requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the creation, revision, and approval of clinical study grants.
- Collaborate with Site Contracts Leaders, Study Project Leaders, and Project Directors to develop and maintain study budgets.
- Prepare post-award clinical study grant analyses and provide budget support to project stakeholders.
- Participate in strategy sessions to assess client requirements and competitive benchmarks.
- Ensure grant processes comply with Fair Market Value principles and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental training materials.
