Requirements
- 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience building production software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong production-level proficiency in Python and Node.js/NestJS.
- Experience building and supporting production-grade APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
- Strong SQL fundamentals with hands-on experience in complex queries, indexing, and schema design.
- Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, including asynchronous processing and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
- Experience with caching strategies and technologies such as Redis.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Understanding of secure coding fundamentals and production incident response.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and operate production backend services using Python and Node.js/NestJS.
- Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, complex queries, indexing, and performance optimization.
- Implement asynchronous workflows using message queues and distributed systems patterns.
- Execute the full software development lifecycle including testing, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor production environments to identify reliability, throughput, and performance issues.
- Apply secure development practices for authentication, authorization, and data protection.
