Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Approximately 15 years of relevant professional experience.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- At least 10 years of experience leading engineering projects.
- Strong experience with building power systems, lighting design, and medium-voltage distribution.
- Proficiency with SKM analysis and photometric calculations.
- Substantial experience with Autodesk Revit 3D modeling and directing construction documentation.
- Experience conducting and leading QA/QC and coordinating design documentation across disciplines.
- Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, mixed-use, aviation, hospitality, or high-rise environments.
- Familiarity with LEED or other sustainability credentials.
- Strong knowledge of discipline-specific engineering software.
- Willingness to travel to project sites or offices as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering technical work for complex projects, applying advanced knowledge of building electrical systems, components, design standards, and modeling practices.
- Develop and review electrical models, plans, details, drawings, calculations, and construction documents while ensuring high-quality technical deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance across medium-voltage distribution, microgrids, photovoltaic systems, battery systems, building power, lighting design, and low-voltage systems.
- Perform and oversee electrical calculations and analyses, including SKM studies, arc-flash analysis, and photometric calculations.
- Track project scope, schedules, fees, staffing, and overall progress, adjusting project and resource plans as requirements change.
- Oversee engineering project phases from initiation through completion, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and technical objectives.
- Lead technical reviews, QA/QC activities, and coordination of design documents across engineering disciplines.
- Mentor and support team members through technical guidance, training, knowledge sharing, and career development initiatives.
