Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation.
- 3-5 years of experience in a controllership, senior accounting, or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Proficiency in AI tools (e.g., Claude, Chat GPT) in an accounting/finance capacity.
- Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial close processes.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (preferred).
- Familiarity with SaaS business accounting (preferred).
- Experience in a large, mature organization or public accounting external audit capacity (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Own month-end accounting close activities, including journal entries and general ledger close processes.
- Prepare and analyze variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecasts.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for internal reporting and tax purposes.
- Draft and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and technical accounting memos.
- Administer Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
- Maintain and administer the company’s capitalization table.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax accountants, and legal advisors.
- Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and documentation.
