Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Active CPA license.
- 8+ years of accounting experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing an accounting team.
- Ability to research and document complex accounting topics and memos.
- Experience with internal controls and process documentation.
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to improve efficiency.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and independent working skills.
- Effective communication skills for presenting financial results to stakeholders.
- Experience in AdTech industry (preferred).
- Experience using NetSuite (preferred).
- Prior remote work and remote management experience (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Guide accounting operations through month-end close, including revenue and cost recording, journal entry review, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Mentor and lead the Accounting team, supporting professional development and day-to-day success.
- Lead the annual audit by partnering with internal and external auditors to support compliance.
- Coordinate the preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and external reporting deliverables.
- Research and document technical accounting guidance for complex topics including equity, leases, revenue recognition, and business combinations.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including leveraging AI tools and automation to increase efficiency.
- Maintain the hierarchy and accuracy of the chart of accounts, general ledger, and financial statements.
- Collaborate with FP&A on monthly and annual budget forecasts.
