Requirements
- 8+ years of product experience, including zero-to-one, data platforms, systems infrastructure, or AI products.
- Experience building early-stage product vision, user research, and go-to-market implementation.
- Strong technical capability with AI-native thinking and LLM implementation (e.g., evaluation frameworks, agent architectures, retrieval).
- Ability to build rapid prototypes, write robust specifications, and assess technical feasibility.
- Understanding of high-stakes, high-trust systems in sectors like healthcare, benefits, financial services, or civic tech.
- Direct customer-facing experience managing technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and operate with a zero-to-one mindset.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and user-centered design.
- Familiarity with open-source communities, standards-setting, or developer tools is preferred.
- Experience with investing, grantmaking, or diligence is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously sharpen the NavTech stack working view, including direct solutions and foundational infrastructure.
- Identify patterns across the portfolio to develop reusable components like connectors, evaluation harnesses, and common schemas.
- Architect solutions by guiding the design and build of proofs of concept through to reusable components and open-source infrastructure.
- Advise and enable portfolio organizations on roadmaps, architectures, and frontier technology adoption.
- Develop and test technical delivery models in partnership with internal teams, portfolio companies, and field leaders.
- Shape investment decisions and pressure-test technical assumptions during diligence processes.
- Partner with internal teams to advise on the organization's use of AI.
- Represent the organization's technical perspective externally with government partners, co-funders, and portfolio leaders.
