Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on, full-cycle U.S. medical billing and RCM experience.
- Strong proficiency with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, and modifier usage.
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills.
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
- Recent, hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) is highly preferred.
- Billing experience in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Obesity Medicine/Nutrition.
- Prior success securing approvals for weight-management and chronic disease medications.
- Familiarity with Telzio VOIP or similar softphone applications.
- Ability to manage digital fax workflows.
Responsibilities
- Review charges and claims for billing accuracy and validate coding.
- Submit electronic claims and manage rejections.
- Post insurance and patient payments and maintain posting logs.
- Manage denials and submit appeal packages.
- Perform A/R follow-up and contact payers to resolve outstanding balances.
- Verify insurance eligibility and handle prior authorizations.
- Manage patient billing inquiries and payment plans.
- Monitor faxes and handle billing-related calls via VOIP.
