Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (equivalent experience/certs considered).
  • 7+ years of relevant security experience, including 3+ years in a senior-level role within a complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and federal/DoD contractor cybersecurity requirements.
  • Proven experience with SSPs, POA&Ms, security controls, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
  • Experience with vulnerability management (scanning, analysis, prioritization, remediation).
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, endpoint security, and firewalls.
  • Expertise in securing Microsoft 365, GCC High, Azure, Entra ID, and Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, network infrastructure, TCP/IP, VLANs, and cloud security.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the required level.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts, incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats across enterprise, endpoint, cloud, network, and application environments.
  • Support compliance with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and applicable federal/DoD cybersecurity requirements.
  • Implement, assess, document, and continuously monitor cybersecurity controls and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security reviews; prioritize findings and coordinate remediation.
  • Support internal and external audits, CMMC assessments, and customer reviews.
  • Analyze security logs, alerts, and threat intelligence using tools such as SIEM, EDR, Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and firewalls.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, remediation, and recovery.
  • Assess and improve security configurations, including identity and access management (MFA, RBAC, Conditional Access) and system hardening.
