Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience writing readable, tested, efficient production software.
- Strong Ruby on Rails experience or exceptional backend capability to ramp quickly.
- Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Proven experience building and consuming APIs and integrations across service boundaries.
- Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms such as Tines, n8n, or comparable tools.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants as part of a day-to-day software development workflow.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with commercial, product, engineering, and implementation stakeholders.
- Experience working in environments where production reliability and timely issue resolution are important.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and ship internal tooling and integrated solutions that eliminate repetitive manual work.
- Develop automations for file processing, migrations, eligibility, contracting, billing edge cases, and other operational workflows.
- Build and maintain API-driven integrations across service boundaries.
- Investigate implementation challenges and escalations to identify underlying root causes.
- Partner with commercial, product, engineering, and implementation stakeholders to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, triaging and resolving issues in a timely manner.
