Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience in solutions, field, or applications engineering.
- 1+ years of experience leading a technical team formally or as a lead with hiring and mentorship responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in Drone as First Responder (DFR) concepts and dock-based remote operations.
- Working knowledge of Public Safety software platforms, including CAD and VMS.
- Experience operating within a sales organization, managing quotas and technical resources.
- Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time for customer engagements and team events.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unaided.
- Demonstrated ability to brief technical operators, program managers, and senior executives.
- Obtain FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, coach, and retain a team of Solutions Engineers.
- Set the bar for technical quality in demos, trial plans, site assessments, and customer documentation.
- Manage team capacity and trade-offs to support deal progression and technical wins.
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for critical pursuits, deployments, and customer issues.
- Partner with Sales leadership on account planning, pipeline management, and the land-and-expand motion.
- Verify site assessments for dock deployment to ensure high-quality installations.
- Guide integration and airspace strategy, including CAD, VMS, streaming platforms, and BVLOS approvals.
- Build enablement content, reference architectures, and technical assets to scale team operations.
- Maintain command of public sector procurement, grant-funded programs, and buying cycles.
