Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4+ years of Release Management and Deployment Coordination experience.
- ITIL certification required.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, environment management, and change control processes.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent release schedules.
- Experience working with federal or state government agencies.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage the release calendar, coordinating release schedules across concurrent projects.
- Define and enforce release management processes, including release readiness criteria, approval gates, and rollback plans.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, and UAT teams to confirm release scope, sequencing, and dependencies.
- Lead release planning and go/no-go meetings, ensuring risks and open items are communicated to stakeholders.
- Coordinate deployments across Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments.
- Maintain release notes, change logs, deployment documentation, and post-release reports.
- Identify and mitigate release risks and escalate issues that may impact timelines or client commitments.
- Support post-release monitoring and coordinate timely resolution of issues after go-live.
- Continuously improve release management processes, practices, and templates.
