Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience building and operating backend services in production.
- Experience with queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
- Ability to design systems from scratch and manage rollout plans.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, deployments, observability, and debugging.
- Experience designing APIs and relational data models.
- Proficiency in managing production infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CDK).
- Ability to work across the stack to deliver complete product experiences.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to consistently work with overlap during Americas working hours.
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end from proposing ideas and scoping to building APIs and services.
- Build reliable distributed systems including queues and background workers to handle traffic and failures.
- Scale APIs and databases by improving performance, data integrity, and efficiency.
- Operate production services with monitoring, safe deployments, and on-call rotation participation.
- Work with support and customers to translate feedback into product improvements.
- Improve engineering quality through better tests, tooling, and existing system enhancements.
