Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in dialogue editing, audiobook, podcast, or spoken-word post-production.
- Historical success and confidence in vocal cleanup using iZotope RX (standalone and plugin).
- Expertise in Avid Pro Tools.
- Familiarity with spoken-word loudness standards such as Audible/ACX targets.
- In-depth knowledge of spectrograms.
- Access to a studio-level listening/monitoring environment.
- Ability to differentiate between performance and technical issues.
- Capable of identifying signal flow issues with voice talent.
- Ability to work independently and deliver consistent, broadcast or release-ready dialogue.
- Excellent critical listening skills for identifying room tone, phase, noise, and distortion issues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean, and optimize spoken-word audio for post-production.
- Diagnose, flag, and edit audio to meet client specifications using iZotope RX and Pro Tools.
- Collaborate with technical teams on editing scenarios and theoretical engineering questions.
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
- Communicate flags, discoveries, and qualitative/quantitative audio statistics.
- Perform rigorous repetitive quality control on audio files.
