Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience combined with a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess information and identify patterns.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing investigations.
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment when evaluating potential risks and handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures and controls.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining productivity and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of financial crime risk requirements and regulatory frameworks is an asset.
- Familiarity with banking products, services, processes, and structures is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations into activities that may indicate financial crime or fraud risk, assessing findings, making decisions, documenting results, and escalating matters.
- Monitor and analyze information from multiple sources, including manually collected data, detection systems, tools, and reports to identify suspicious activity.
- Evaluate potential threats using a disciplined, intelligence-led approach aligned with financial crime risk frameworks.
- Maintain accurate and complete case and account records by documenting investigative actions, findings, and decisions.
- Support the collection and preservation of evidence and intelligence for incident reporting, loss prevention, and legal proceedings.
- Provide guidance and instructions to internal and external stakeholders regarding incidents.
- Analyze data to identify trends, generate insights, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs.
