Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience with substantial hands-on experience in card issuing and payments.
- Deep practical knowledge of card program structures, BIN management, and issuer processing.
- Direct experience with at least one completed card platform or processor migration for live card programs.
- Strong understanding of authorization, clearing, and settlement flows.
- Working knowledge of Visa and Mastercard scheme rules, certification processes, and BIN registration.
- Familiarity with network tokenization, digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay), and Click to Pay.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements including PCI DSS and SCA/PSD2.
- Technical fluency to work with architects/engineers on APIs, data models, and integrations.
- Proven experience establishing product priorities while balancing commercial and technical constraints.
- Demonstrated experience managing high-consequence change through structured cutover and risk management.
- Practical experience using AI tools and LLMs in product workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Own the product workstream for migrating existing card programs from an incumbent issuing platform to a target platform.
- Document current-state card program configurations and define target-state configurations.
- Lead capability and gap analysis between platforms to determine replication or redesign needs.
- Coordinate with BIN sponsors, card schemes, and processors on migration, licensing, and certifications.
- Define the migration strategy, including phasing, reissuance, token migration, and credential continuity.
- Own the cardholder impact strategy to minimize disruption to tokens, digital wallets, and account data.
- Build and maintain a prioritized product backlog with clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Manage migration readiness, including testing, cutover, rollback procedures, and contingency planning.
- Serve as the senior product contact for client stakeholders across product, operations, risk, and technology.
