Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience in high-concurrency, distributed environments.
- Proficiency in one or more front-end focused programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, or ES6.
- Experience with one or more front-end web frameworks such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular.
- Experience with CSS.
- Experience or interest in using AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Strong user-centric mindset and feel for product usability and interaction design.
- Proven track record of data-informed decision-making and hypothesis-driven development.
- Ability to balance development velocity with system reliability.
- Collaborative communication skills for remote or hybrid team environments.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management, Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers to translate user needs into low-latency technical solutions.
- Own the full software lifecycle from technical design docs and API contracts to development, testing, rollout, and observability.
- Design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments using tools like BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase.
- Build and maintain scalable APIs (GraphQL, REST, gRPC) and distributed backend services.
- Establish engineering best practices, improve developer workflows, and mentor teammates.
