Requirements
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python and the ability to develop reliable, maintainable, efficient backend services.
- Bring a strong backend development background and be able to contribute to frontend development when required.
- Understand software architecture and design patterns, APIs, cloud infrastructure tools, storage solutions, and data structures.
- Have strong knowledge of test design, automated testing practices, and application security.
- Be able to learn a large existing codebase quickly, understand dependencies, and make careful changes to business-critical infrastructure.
- Take responsibility for features from problem definition and design through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Be comfortable defining problems, evaluating priorities, and making decisions with incomplete information.
- Understand safe rollouts, backward compatibility, security, and minimizing disruption to existing users and systems.
- Use a structured, analytical approach to challenging technical problems and scalable, reusable solutions.
- Work effectively with engineers, product teams, and customer-facing stakeholders.
- No formal degree, certification, or specific number of years of professional experience is required; demonstrate engineering ability through projects, practical accomplishments, or GitHub contributions.
- Experience with OAuth, SSO, SCIM, or RBAC is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration is an advantage.
- Experience building internal platforms, shared infrastructure, or reusable services is an advantage.
- Experience designing scalable systems for complex enterprise requirements, organizational hierarchies, and fine-grained access controls is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain platform systems for user management, workspaces, permissions, and resource access.
- Build and enhance customer-facing features such as API key management, login flows, analytics, administrative tools, and workspace security.
- Deliver full-stack functionality spanning backend services and APIs through dashboards, settings pages, and other interfaces.
- Design reusable authorization and resource-management systems for product teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Forward Deployed Engineers, customer-facing teams, and engineering groups to translate requirements and feedback into improvements.
- Develop reusable services and changes that support adoption by engineering teams.
- Evaluate existing systems and dependencies, assess rollout risks, and implement migrations with minimal disruption.
- Investigate production issues using customer reports, logs, and code; identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Scope problems, prioritize needs, make technical decisions, and drive projects through implementation and ongoing improvement.
