Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, audit, information systems, or related discipline.
- Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Proof of relevant professional certifications such as CISA, PMP, CEH, or equivalent.
- 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience in operations, incident response, vulnerability management, or audit support.
- 5 years supporting or conducting audits, compliance reviews, or assurance work in government or regulated environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design defensible test procedures.
- Ability to evaluate control performance and distinguish fact from opinion.
- Experience communicating technical results to senior stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of professional auditing or assurance standards and evidence requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead ingestion and analysis of agency documentation including risk assessments and remediation plans.
- Direct development of the Agency Risk Understanding Memorandum.
- Design and approve Ground-Truth and Ad Hoc Testing Strategies and procedures.
- Map procedures and results to NIST CSF and Rule 60GG-2 compliance criteria.
- Review evidence for relevance, reliability, sufficiency, and chain of custody.
- Validate report accuracy regarding procedures performed and factual results.
- Conduct independent QA reviews of technical deliverables.
- Lead technical briefings and workshops to support OCIG and OIG staff.
- Support urgent analysis of logs, timelines, and incident-specific control issues.
