Requirements
- Staff-level application security experience.
- Experience owning security initiatives end-to-end.
- Direct experience working with development teams.
- Strong development background in Ruby on Rails preferred; Python, Java, or C# acceptable.
- Ability to read and review draft code/PRs for security fixes.
- Experience identifying systemic vulnerability patterns.
- Experience driving architectural security fixes with engineering teams.
- Strong relationship-building skills with developers and stakeholders.
- Ability to explain security risks in plain language.
- Hands-on experimentation with AI in security work, ideally building automation.
- Experience securing AI features in a product is a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Turn recurring AppSec findings into architectural fixes by spotting common vulnerability themes.
- Partner with product teams to design systemic solutions rather than patching instances.
- Lead product security projects end-to-end, including private package repositories and SCA tooling.
- Modernize development lifecycle and GitHub workflows for improved security.
- Build AI into team workflows for vulnerability analysis and code-level draft fixes.
- Champion secure development and mentor teammates as the team's most senior engineer.
- Represent Product Security in cross-functional groups.
