Requirements
- Seven or more years of relevant commercial contracts or legal operations experience.
- Meaningful in-house experience in SaaS or enterprise technology.
- Experience independently negotiating standardized commercial agreements within established templates and fallback positions.
- Experience managing high-volume contract intake or legal queues.
- Strong project management skills across multiple concurrent systems and process initiatives.
- Strong issue-spotting and escalation judgment.
- Ability to connect individual workstreams to broader business goals and measurable outcomes.
- Experience developing practical, business-facing process documentation and enablement materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, accuracy, and professional judgment.
- Interest or experience using AI in contracting, legal operations, or business workflows.
Responsibilities
- Provide independent coverage of Legal’s contracting queues during U.S. West Coast hours.
- Triage incoming requests and negotiate commercial agreements including NDAs, MSAs, and Order Forms using established templates and fallbacks.
- Coordinate with attorneys on complex agreements, non-standard positions, and matters requiring legal judgment.
- Develop and improve contracting processes, templates, playbooks, and self-service enablement materials for Sales and other stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary operational partner for Legal technology initiatives, including CLM and contract-repository management.
- Drive the adoption of AI tools to improve intake, issue identification, drafting, and negotiation workflows.
- Deliver data-driven reporting to provide business insights and support operational decision-making.
