Job Details

6+ years building and operating production cloud infrastructure.
Deep AWS expertise including multi-account, networking, IAM, and security boundaries.
Expert-level Terraform, including designing reusable modules, state management, and drift/execution patterns.
Strong CI/CD background with GitHub Actions, reusable workflows, OIDC, and secret management.
Track record of shipping platform infrastructure that feature teams actively adopt.
Strong bias toward enabling teams through paved roads rather than gatekeeping.
Experience leading technical direction across multiple teams, including clear communication of trade-offs.
Strong instinct for determining when to build central solutions vs. team-owned solutions.
Preferred: Experience with Cloudflare at production scale (WAF, DNS, zero-trust/WARP).
Preferred: Datadog, JFrog, or comparable vendor integration experience.
Preferred: Background in cost observability or FinOps tooling.
Preferred: History of working on an internal-facing platform team.

Set the technical direction for a major area of Engine's infrastructure over a multi-quarter horizon.
Lead multiple infra initiatives in parallel, coordinating across the central team and with feature teams.
Design and ship Terraform modules, pipeline patterns, and operational tooling for internal adoption.
Separate signal from noise across feature-team requests to prioritize platform investments.
Own incident response, on-call quality, deployment reliability, and vendor integration health.
Shape guidelines, tools, and methods and coach feature engineers.
Represent the infra team in cross-functional conversations with product and engineering leadership.
Reduce the SDLC step-function count by eliminating unnecessary approval gates.
