Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and evolving GraphQL schemas.
- Experience with high-throughput production systems, including load testing and latency optimization.
- Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Proficiency with modern web frameworks (e.g., Phoenix, Rails, FastAPI, Node.js).
- Experience with asynchronous event infrastructure (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
- Experience with background job processing technologies.
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., ExUnit, RSpec, Jest).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, scale, and performance-tune GraphQL APIs and low-latency gRPC services supporting complex financial and regulatory operations.
- Own complex technical problems through to resolution, including presenting proposals to leadership.
- Design and deliver features end-to-end within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Drive improvements for platform scalability and production reliability.
- Establish monitoring and alerting protocols using Datadog.
- Mentor engineers through technical specs, pairing, and code reviews.
- Collaborate across domains to manage system integrations and data migrations.
- Participate in on-call rotations and manage release cycles.
