Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong record of designing and delivering complex production systems.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages used in platform or infrastructure development, such as Go, Ruby, Python, Java, or similar.
- Professional experience with Golang, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience building or contributing to developer tooling, internal platforms, CI/CD systems, or developer productivity infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead technical projects, from initial scoping and architecture through implementation and production delivery.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts, trade-offs, and architectural decisions clearly to diverse engineering stakeholders.
- Experience working in Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure teams is highly valued.
- Familiarity with observability tooling, build systems, or developer environment technologies such as Bazel, Docker, Kubernetes, or comparable tools.
- Experience working in a high-growth technology environment with rapidly changing priorities and broad technical challenges.
- A track record of influencing engineering culture, technical practices, or development standards beyond your immediate team.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and improve internal developer tooling, platforms, and infrastructure that enhance engineering productivity, reliability, and day-to-day developer experience.
- Own complex technical initiatives end-to-end, including defining scope, developing architecture, implementing solutions, managing rollouts, and iterating based on results and feedback.
- Identify developer experience and productivity friction through engineering feedback, usage data, and direct collaboration with technical teams, then develop scalable solutions that reduce toil and improve delivery velocity.
- Contribute to the technical direction of developer experience initiatives through architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to understand their workflows and create internal systems that address common development and infrastructure challenges.
- Operate effectively in an environment where priorities and requirements can evolve quickly, applying sound technical judgment and adapting solutions as new needs emerge.
- Help establish engineering best practices and influence technical standards beyond the immediate team.
