Requirements
- Expert programming skills in Go and/or TypeScript.
- Experience building scalable, secure, high-performance backend services.
- Solid experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures (SQS, Temporal).
- Proficiency with relational and document databases (Postgres and MongoDB).
- Proficiency with AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes/EKS) and serverless components (Lambda).
- Experience working on transaction-processing, matching, or ingestion pipelines.
- Comfort leading technical projects from discovery through production rollout.
- Skilled with using AI tools for planning and implementation.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative engineering culture.
- U.S. core business hours availability.
- Willingness to travel for company meetings.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable services across transaction matching, the cellar pipeline, and offer ingestion.
- Own features end-to-end through Kard's Shape Up cycle from discovery to production rollout.
- Participate in on-call, incident response, and triage, driving root-cause fixes.
- Strengthen issuer/client-facing APIs and SDKs to improve reliability and self-service.
- Lead technical projects and foster collaboration across Product, Design, and Engineering.
- Champion enhancements to tech stack methodologies, including observability, deployment, and test coverage.
- Mentor engineers and help the team consolidate or deprecate legacy services.
- Write clear documentation and playbooks to distribute system knowledge.
