Requirements

  • 5–10 years of professional experience in international business development, distributor management, commercial management, or a comparable role within FMCG, nutrition, food, or consumer goods.
  • Experience managing French retail multiples in the same or adjacent categories is highly desirable, particularly alongside external distribution partners.
  • Strong track record in commercial negotiations, contract management, and developing long-term distributor and retailer partnerships.
  • Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret business performance metrics and translate insights into growth actions.
  • Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, evaluate partners, and build sustainable commercial relationships across international markets.
  • Highly proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the confidence to take ownership and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with a small, international, and highly motivated team.
  • Business-fluent French with confidence conducting negotiations and managing senior business relationships in French.
  • Fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and strengthen relationships with third-party distributors across France, the Nordics, and future European markets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distribution partners in line with the international expansion strategy.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions with existing and prospective distribution partners.
  • Support distributor performance through strategic guidance on brand positioning, product portfolios, pricing, go-to-market strategies, and local market activation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and other relevant market stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Monitor market and commercial performance, identify growth opportunities, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Partner closely with the international growth function on commercial strategy, pricing, product portfolio decisions, market activation, and other growth initiatives.
  • Analyze commercial and financial KPIs to support informed decision-making and sustainable market development.
  • Act as the central point of contact for assigned markets, aligning internal and external stakeholders around ambitious growth objectives.
