Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of project management experience, including leadership of complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects, create structure in ambiguous situations, and drive execution with limited supervision.
- Experience with project governance, delivery lifecycle management, milestone reviews, change control, executive reporting, and standardized project artifacts.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred.
- Proficiency with Smartsheet, Microsoft 365, or comparable project management and collaboration tools preferred.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, influence, conflict-resolution, and executive communication skills.
- High ownership and initiative, with the ability to diagnose challenges, determine a path forward, and act without waiting for detailed instructions.
- Familiarity with business transformation, ERP or enterprise systems, process optimization, operating model design, systems integration, or change management initiatives.
- Experience supporting organizational adoption, communications, training readiness, value realization, and transitions to steady-state operations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining transparency around risks, decisions, dependencies, and delivery status.
Responsibilities
- Lead project setup, planning, and execution, including project charters, roadmaps, integrated schedules, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and phase exit criteria.
- Manage day-to-day delivery by driving task ownership, monitoring timelines, tracking decisions, resolving issues, reporting progress, and escalating risks or blockers when necessary.
- Create structure in ambiguous environments by assessing priorities, sequencing activities, managing scope, budget, and quality considerations, and maintaining momentum with limited direction.
- Lead cross-functional teams involving business, technology, change management, vendors, program management, and executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, steering committees, milestone reviews, and decision forums with clear objectives, actions, and outcomes.
- Prepare concise, executive-ready communications covering project health, progress, risks, required decisions, next steps, adoption, business value, and operational readiness.
- Apply established project management standards, lifecycle phases, governance forums, reporting expectations, and project documentation requirements.
- Ensure appropriate delivery discipline across feasibility, design, build, testing, deployment, closure, sustainment, milestone reviews, change control, and formal approvals.
- Identify gaps in existing project delivery practices and recommend practical improvements that strengthen standards, tools, and execution.
- Support successful adoption, communications, training readiness, value realization, and transition into steady-state operations.
- Maintain clear project documentation that supports effective delivery, transparency, and decision-making.
