Requirements
- 3–6 years in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or forward-deployed/customer-facing engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and building custom demos.
- Deep working knowledge of modern LLM inference stacks (e.g., vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT-LLM).
- Expertise in OpenAI-compatible APIs, quantization, LoRA, and fine-tune serving.
- Practical familiarity with the open-model ecosystem, including Hugging Face and model evaluation.
- Proficiency with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud networking/security fundamentals.
- Ability to communicate technical value to both ML engineers and CTOs.
- Strong written communication skills for producing benchmark reports and architecture documentation.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build the sales engineering function from scratch.
- Experience using AI tools to research, prototype, and accelerate workflows.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the founding AE as the named technical owner on every active opportunity in North America.
- Run technical discovery, including mapping prospect models, workloads, latency targets, and constraints.
- Design and drive POCs and benchmarks that prove platform effectiveness against closed-model APIs or other providers.
- Build demo environments and reusable technical collateral for the GTM team.
- Handle technical objections related to performance, reliability, cost, security, and data handling.
- Lead technical calls including architecture reviews and live code demos against real use cases.
- Build migration paths from closed-model APIs to open-weight models.
- Provide structured field input to product and engineering teams regarding feature gaps and competitive intel.
