Requirements
- Strong experience as a backend or platform engineer.
- Experience building service layers in front of transactional databases like MySQL or Postgres.
- Experience with ingestion/sync pipeline tooling such as Dagster or Airflow.
- Proficiency in one or more modern backend languages: Python, Go, or TypeScript.
- Focus on clean API design, testability, and observability.
- Experience designing service or API interfaces over transactional datastores.
- Experience defining contracts for producer/consumer independence, with gRPC experience as a plus.
- Strong instinct for data correctness, observability, and SLO management.
- Familiarity with identity and access governance (IGA) data domains.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core components of the identity data platform, including APIs, service layers, and interfaces abstracting raw identity data.
- Build and extend data interface frameworks to enable reusable patterns for contract design, versioning, and observability.
- Migrate product surfaces from direct integration or database reads onto well-defined, product-grade APIs.
- Contribute to data infrastructure, including Access Graph APIs and the Unified Entitlements Data API, for seamless identity data access.
- Drive technical decisions through architecture reviews, mentoring, and pair programming on complex data-interface problems.
- Champion resilience, observability, and scalability throughout the identity data platform.
