Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the software industry.
- Minimum 3 years in an architecture position.
- Extensive background in driving architectural and design decisions in cloud data platforms.
- Strong experience with Databricks or Spark-based lakehouse platforms.
- Proven hands-on expertise in developing solutions with SQL and PySpark.
- Strong Data Modeling and Governance experience.
- Experience using agentic AI in SDLC and GenAI in data workloads.
- Proven ability to design data schemas for analytics and reporting consumption.
- Ability to evaluate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and make technology trade-off decisions.
- Effective communication skills to explain complex technical concepts and gain stakeholder buy-in.
- Experience in Security and Access Control, Cloud Operations, or 3rd-Party Integrations.
Responsibilities
- Design and drive the execution of a scalable, cloud-native target-state architecture across the end-to-end software platform.
- Define architectural patterns for scalable automated data ingestion.
- Deliver hands-on proof-of-concepts (PoCs) using SQL, PySpark, and Serverless Python to validate design decisions.
- Drive architecture consistency across all platform components to harmonize integration and eliminate technical debt.
- Define and enforce data platform security standards and infrastructure security to prevent platform and data breaches.
- Partner with Product Management to define application analytics strategy and gain business domain understanding.
- Serve as a strategic sounding board for validating and introducing new technologies and open-source solutions.
- Contribute to AI-powered agentic development capabilities related to the data platform, transformation, and analytics.
