Job Details

6+ years of relevant experience in Developer Relations, developer advocacy, engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience managing, coaching, or leading technical contributors.
Strong software engineering foundation, including production-quality code, working with APIs, and debugging.
Experience building developer-facing projects like integrations, SDK examples, open-source tools, and documentation.
Ability to translate product priorities into a technical roadmap for a small team.
Strong program management skills including planning, prioritization, and risk communication.
Experience with public codebases and GitHub workflows, including pull requests and issue discussions.
Experience defining and reporting on DevRel metrics and program performance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts.

Lead Tailscale’s Developer Relations Engineering team and roadmap, translating company, product, and developer priorities into a focused set of technical projects and programs.
Manage and develop a high-performing team of Developer Relations Engineers by setting expectations and providing coaching.
Build high-quality technical experiences including integrations, example applications, open-source projects, demos, workshops, and tutorials.
Contribute to high-leverage technical projects hands-on, including writing/reviewing code, debugging, and building prototypes.
Serve as a visible technical voice through videos, presentations, and community engagement.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Growth, Content, Sales, and Customer Success to coordinate launches and influence product strategy.
Define, track, and report on DevRel performance metrics such as engagement and integration adoption.
