Requirements
- Strong knowledge of general procurement and trading policies, international import/export legislation, and customs regulations.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Commodity Accountability Principles (GACAP).
- Technical expertise in warehouse operations: storage standards (FIFO/FEFO), cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and loss prevention.
- Proficiency in MS Office packages and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Oracle).
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, facilitation, and training applying adult learning principles.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Fluent in English; fluency in Arabic is strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
- Strategic, analytical, and systems thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of agency-wide supply chain strategies, standards, and best practices.
- Contribute to proposal development by creating supply chain plans, procurement plans, and commodity calculators.
- Deploy to countries as Acting Supply Chain Manager, Acting Operations Manager, or similar roles to cover vacancies or emergency response.
- Collaborate with country teams to strengthen logistics, procurement, warehousing, and fleet management systems.
- Support the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like Oracle and monitor supply chain KPIs.
- Facilitate capacity building, workshops, and mentoring for country-based staff.
- Assist countries in addressing audit findings and ensuring compliance with donor and international regulations.
