Job Details

Experience: 8-10 years of relevant hands-on SAP Basis engineering; 3+ years in service provider/advanced IT organization.
Required Skills: AWSAgileAzureServiceNow

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience.
8-10 years of relevant hands-on SAP Basis engineering experience.
3+ years of experience as an SAP Basis engineer in a service provider or advanced IT organization operating in a 24x7 environment.
Solid background administering SAP HANA databases.
Solid background administering SAP Sybase databases.
Understanding of SAP security principals.
Experience with configuration management and automation tools.
Familiarity with agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.).
Experience working in ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred).
Usage of AWS and Azure services in commercial or government cloud environments.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong ownership bias and detail-oriented.

Serve as the single point of contact for planning and scheduling client technical maintenance and upgrade activities.
Interface with client technical staff to provide planning and improvement recommendations.
Perform project-based and production support tasks including SAP system migrations, landscape refreshes, and database backup/recovery.
Configure HA and perform ongoing SAP maintenance such as performance management and patching.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for procedures and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with delivery and development teams to drive continual operational improvement.
Execute against defined projects and report on progress.
Train and mentor new team members.
